30/07/2019 - Albany SES Thank you

The following email was sent to the SESVA:

Thank you to all the people who rescued me from Bornholm Beach last week (Sunday 21st July 2019) and got me to the Helicopter that took me to Albany Hospital. Just so you guys know, I suffer from Conn’s Syndrome of which one of the many things it does to me is I lose Potassium from my body. Maybe you don’t know that this can cause heart attacks and death if I am not intravenously given Potassium. I try not to be in places that I cannot get out of but we badly underestimated the track to Bornholm Beach and we messed up.

What pleases me so much about being an Australian is the excellent service we have in our emergency services. When the going gets tough, the tough get going and that is very true.

That day the sea was raging and the wind was howling but it didn’t stop you guys of the SES, the Ambulance guys and the 3 guys from the Helicopter from being there for me. I was extremely thankful for all of your help and I thank you all so much.

All I can say is THANK YOU. I really appreciate what you did for me.
